Position Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible for analyzing and reporting on all aspects of company financial performance including revenue, cost of sales, operating expenses and capital.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: include the following and other duties may be assigned as needed.

  1. Acting as a finance business partner and service provider to a number of functional leaders providing ongoing financial support,

guidance and influence

  1. Provide monthly variance analysis and reporting for supported organizations, and highlight key issues and trends influencing performance goals, as well as risks and opportunities
  2. Work with department managers to manage spending, identify problem areas, perform gap analysis, and recommend corrective


  1. Support the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to execute on all financial planning goals, including strategic planning,

annual budgets, forecasting and reporting

  1. Assist with oversight and implementation of corporate projects and best practice initiatives
  2. Assist with business performance analysis as needed, including helping organization prepare for internal & external reviews, ensure financial and operating plans are appropriately structured and utilize meaningful business dashboards and metrics
  3. Perform ad hoc analysis as needed for senior management
  4. Other duties as assigned/ as needed

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience required showing increasing responsibilities; a strong understanding of accounting and finance principles & accounting systems to enable quick identification of problems & solutions; computer literacy, with excel spreadsheet excellence; knowledge and experience in equipment rental/construction or logistics industry a plus; effective leadership/motivation organization, and communication skills; self starter; strong work ethic; ability to function in dynamic environment and set priorities; multi-task capabilities with attention to detail; strong ability to meet deadlines.



Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to customers, clients, and employees of the USS organization.



Ability to calculate and analyze complex financial data including Return on Investment (ROI), Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR), Net Present Value (NPV), etc. and develop financial models to expedite turnaround on deliverables.



Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.



Valid Driver License (Class C) when off-site travel required.

The noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate. Employee is regularly exposed to air conditioning while working indoors and hot or cold conditions when working outdoors. This position requires employee to travel as needed.
