We are looking for a Master Service Technician (Trainer) who enjoys developing others and training them to complete the job well. USS has a training program for Service Technicians that this role will be implementing each day. This position is responsible for the on-boarding of new hires and the on-going training and development of existing employees in their operational functions.


  • Coach and on-board new Technicians in all facets of truck operations to include:
    • Pre & Post Trip Inspections
    • On Truck Supply Inventory
    • Proper Operations Of Pumps & Hoses
  • Coach and on-board new Technicians in the correct procedures for servicing:
    • Portable Restrooms & Sanitation Equipment
    • Holding Tanks
    • Sinks / Showers
    • Supply Restocking
  • Coach and assess current Technicians field capabilities focusing on:
    • Utilization of the 8 Point Service Plan
    • Correct wear and use of personal protective equipment
    • Correct wear of United Site Services field uniform
    • Professional interaction with customers
    • Hours of Service
    • Truck cleanliness / Pre-Post Trip Inspections
  • Assist Operations Manager in the following areas:
    • Employee Safety Training
    • Yard Management / Organization
    • Fleet Maintenance / DOT Files
  • Coach and on-board new technicians according to the USS New Hire Manual which includes but not limited to the following:
    • Safe Work Practices
    • Defensive Driving
    • Company Programs
    • Landing and Pulling Trailers
    • Operating, Loading, and Securing of Equipment
  • Conduct regularly scheduled quality control functions to include:
    • Quality Control Audits
    • Ride-alongs
    • Spot Check Audits
  • Gate Checks
  • Rental Readiness
  • Complete periodic Technician Report Cards:
    • Assess individual effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity metrics
    • Provide recommendations for further development
    • Review these reports with Operations Manager to devise individual action plans
    • Report status and findings to National Trainer and/or USS Ambassador
  • Maintain and renew Master Technician Certification annually:
    • Annual Supervisor review and re-certification

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 1-year driving experience
  • Valid Driver's License
